Vitamin-Floradix Iron and Vitamin

Floradix Iron Tablets provide organic iron, B-Vitamins, vitamin C, folic acid and strengthening herbal extracts. It helps support blood formation after a loss of blood, they are also used during pregnancy or nursing during the years of growth and development.  

Iron is essential for the transport of oxygen between the mother and her foetus as well as providing the baby with sufficient iron stores for the first few weeks following the birth. Iron is also essential for foetal growth, particularly for normal brain development and to help prevent maternal anaemia. As more iron is needed to form red blood cells. It is difficult to meet this extra demand through a balanced diet alone so it is often recommended that women take an iron supplement from week 13 or even earlier.

Women are usually advised to seek the advice of their GP or midwife before taking supplements.

Floradix Iron tablets contain the following ingredients: Yeast extract, herbal dried mixed extract from lactose, spinach leaves, ocean kelp, fennel, angelica root, carrot and silicon dioxide; ferrous gluconate, sugar, bulking agent: talc, maize starch, separating agent: calcium carbonate; rose-hip dry extract containing 4% vitamin C (rose hip peels, maltodextrin); vitamin C, stabilizer: croscarmellose sodium, gum arabic; nicotinamide, colouring: titanium dioxide, coating agent: shellac; bulking agent: precipitated silicon dioxide, kaolin; stabilizer: cellulose, coating agent: calcium stearate; colourings: iron oxides; vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin); emulsifier: polysorbate 80, glazing agents: bees wax, camauba wax; folic acid.

Directions for use: Adults: take 1 tablet two times daily Children 3-12 years: take 1 tablet daily.
